Turn your own bathroom into an Art Deco haven with a few key touches that evoke this quintessential 1920s style, such as checkerboard floor tiles and white metro wall tiles and the characteristic decorative motifs.
Art Deco epitomized the boom of the roaring 1920s and the bust of the Depression-ridden 1930s. It was the style of the luxury ocean liner (think Titanic) and Hollywood and was characterized by zigzagged and triangular shapes, chevron patterns, stepped forms, sweeping curves and sunburst motifs. Just think of the stylised images of aeroplanes, cars, cruise liners and skyscrapers.
